Donald McGuire was an American Jesuit priest who was born on June 14, 1925, in the United States. He joined the Society of Jesus in 1946 and was ordained as a priest in 1957. McGuire was known for his work as a spiritual advisor, retreat director, and mentor to many people around the world, including Mother Teresa.

However, McGuire's legacy was tarnished by allegations of sexual abuse. In 2006, he was accused of sexually abusing a minor in the 1960s and was subsequently removed from ministry. In 2008, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexually abusing two boys. McGuire died in prison on February 7, 2017, at the age of 91.
